Amara Dolce Vita Luxury , Tekirova, Antalaya, Turkey
One of the beautiful and finest resorts where they had around 7 ala-carte, but Puneet and I were stuck only at buffet and just enjoyed their Asian restaurant.. Because their buffet was the best, and we felt no need to leave the place...
This was our football inclusive trip to Turkey where we learnt what all inclusive meant. Our first intercontinental wasn't all inclusive, it was a different honeymoon package given to Indian travel agents (or I'm thinking so), but how we landed on turkey is one different story..
Puneet wanted to go on vacation. We were in Ireland and all he saw were advertisements of Thomas Cook. His agenda was Egypt, but by the time we were on the verge of booking, their rebellion movement started and Thomas Cook changed their advertising to Turkey from Egypt and curious Puneet started to explore Turkey.
Even I was scared to go to Turkey (as its in middle east), but my perception changed when I reached there. Beautiful people, beautiful countryside and safe country.
Turkey is one of my most memorable trip of all times, and foremost reason is that it was my first all inclusive.
Amara Dolce Vita Luxury is a beautiful resort. We went in February 2011 and the weather for awesome. Although in 2012, it snowed little bit in February but we were lucky the time we went, night time was around 15 degrees and day time was around 25 degrees. Perfect weather for a couple.
The resort was not full at the time we went, guessing it was off season by the time we were there and I'm so glad because Puneet booked it for 7 nights for €1500 approx. This does not include flights. Puneet had booked flights separately from Air France for €370.
He was able to find the cheapest transfer from airport to the resort for €15 (pickup and return - see my city deal chomper at his best ) and imagine when the guy came to pick us up - it was Mercedes Benz ..
The resort was about more than an HR drive from Antalaya airport. The drive was scenic ocean drive with tunnels and sunshine
Our room was just above the lobby on the second floor and it was ocean front. The best spectacular views of ocean and the ocean breeze was one thing I loved a lot.
The buffet was the best part. Being a naive traveller, we just stuck ourselves to the buffet. Although their Asian restaurant did had a reservation fee of €15, it's totally worth iti loved the fried rice and hot and sour soup)..
We went for spa and milk bath. It was the best experience. It was my first time having spa, but it was super relaxing. The milk bath was so refreshing. They also had 6D theatre and bowling alley and it was so much fun.
Night time disco with Arabian dancers was the best closure of the day. I still remember their dance and it was one of my finest experience.
