InterContinental Resort Mauritius

This was my first trip out of India and this was my honeymoon trip. Puneet and I went there from July 18, 2010 for 6 nights. Our resort was purchased from a travel agent and Puneet had booked flights to Mauritius through Air India.
Our honeymoon was precious and this resort made every effort to make it the most beautiful vacation ever. We had breakfast and dinner included in our resort. Our trips were pre-booked by our travel agent.
We had booked Ocean View Terrace Jacuzzi room which was so beautiful. The Jacuzzi with rain shower was the best part of my honeymoon when we would come back from the tired day trip and drink vodka and enjoy..
The resort had a buffet that offered something or the other that's Indian dish.. This really made my stay the best as I didn't miss the home or craved for the Indian chatpata food.
As we were honeymoon couple, the resort offered us one candle light romantic dinner at the beach which I hardly remember as I was so drunk  and just had a memory that we had to run-in for the desert as it rained heavily while we were at the beach (the rain brought me into consciousness ).
As part of our honeymoon package, we were given some credits to use which we used towards their ala carte  restaurant "Veda" - a contemporary Indian restaurant and I am sure that it was the best decision of our lives. The food was awesome and so delicious. I still remember that I ordered Mushroom pea thinking its gonna be mushroom pea curry that we cook in India, however, it was a big mushroom with peas in it..  BUT it was delicious..
As a naive first time traveller, we had no idea how the Jacuzzi worked, and so complained about it to the resort.. The resort offered us late checkout which I guess is a big deal for some traveller, but not for us ), to which I said no.. And asked for free meal for lunch which they honored and it was the best lunch.. They had cheese samosa at the pool restaurant and even packed us a sandwich for airport..
In short, this was our first ever trip and the best one.. This was the foundation of us being a vacationer and explore the wonderful resorts... This one and many more to come.. Stay tuned 
