Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun

After leaving Ireland and moving to Canada, we were just settling our lives. Finally we were settled, bought our house and I was pregnant - yes 2 months in and we went for our first trip to Mexico. It was Puneet's birthday and our babymoon.

We were still naive and while looking for deals, we booked through westjet vacations. We thought run of the house means the best room available πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, but in fact it's the whatever room they have left and so our vacation started with a hiccup.

We got the shock when we reached the resort that our room is facing a parking lot - yes... After staying in luxury resorts like intercontinental and Amara Dolce, I was in no mood to stay in a room that is facing parking lot.

After a lot of effort, the resort gave us the partial Ocean view and then our vacation started. The resort is all inclusive, cute and adults only. So baby in my tummy was allowed 😜😜

The resort has a time share, and being new to the concept, we were dragged into the 5 HR presentation. It was in Secrets Maroma beach and a true waste of time, but the only good thing was we got a free candle light romantic dinner (worth $200) by the beach. This time I made sure I was in my full conscious (unlike intercontinental where I was drunk and I couldn't be drunk as I was pregnant 😍😍), I enjoyed the every bit of romance I could get with Puneet.

The sea food at the Oceana restaurant was delicious and view was spectacular. The amazing breeze at the ocean front restaurant with stars and moon and amazing food is totally worth it.

AMR resorts has many other resorts too and I'm excited to enjoy their family resorts with my little bundle of joy in the near future.
